ABOUT JOHN

John Hindmarsh was a widely read and much-admired author of science fiction and thrillers.  His imaginative stories, featuring artificial intelligence and exoplanets, were well ahead of their time, and today’s sci-fi enthusiasts continue to seek out his works.

John’s most popular series, Jack Foster, follows a young Royal Space Navy Academy graduate as he navigates the chaos of his first command.  This series followed his first bestseller, Broken Glass, part of the Glass Complex books, both firmly grounded in the space opera genre.

Long before artificial intelligence became a popular topic, John explored its depths in his Mark Midway series, where he delved into the complexities of consciousness in genetically altered DNA.

John lived in California with his wife Cathy and passed away in 2022 from Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  However, his books remain as relevant and compelling as when they were first released.  His entire catalog is now preserved by Vinci Books, with help from his friend and fellow sci-fi writer Craig Martelle, who completed the final two books in the Jack Foster series.
